Ken Golder – Chief Executive Officer

Ken Golder has been a decorated hospitality veteran since 1982.  He excelled at all facets of hotel operations and Sales & marketing while climbing the ranks at Americana  Hotels and Promus Hotel Corp. (Embassy Suites).  In 2000, he formed Golder Hospitality to manage all aspects of his growing portfolio of assets.  He continues to both own and manage award winning hotels throughout the U.S.  He has served on numerous CVB Boards and has conducted countless Leadership seminars for his managers and other organizations.  Ken is a graduate of Coe College where he also serves as a trustee.

Rob Hjort – President/Chief Operating Officer

Rob Hjort serves as the President and Chief Operating Officer for Golder Hospitality. As President and COO, Rob is responsible for establishing the strategic, financial,cultural and operational direction and expectations of the Management Company and our portfolio of hotels.  Prior to joining Golder  Hospitality, Mr. Hjort held leadership positions with Promus/Hilton Hotels.  He has developed expertise   in all areas of hotel operations. Rob is a past member of the Hampton Inn Brand Operations Council and DuPage Convention and Visitors Bureau Board Member.  He is a Certified Hotel Administrator through the American Hotel and Lodging Association.

Rob Covey – Executive Vice President/Chief Sales and Marketing Officer

Rob Covey has over 20 years of experience in the Hotel Industry. Mr. Covey is a hotel sales and marketing specialist and recognized expert in revenue management. He has held leadership positions at both the individual property and regional multi-property levels for both full service and all-suite hotels. He is a Certified Hotel Administrator through the American Hotel and Lodging Association, the association’s highest designation. Mr. Covey was responsible for creating the Promus Hotels Twin Cities Regional Reservations Center and for the administration of centralized revenue management for five properties. His creation of the call center and his revenue management strategies resulted in his being recognized as the American Hotel Foundation- Best Practice Champion. Mr. Covey has also been a featured panelist in the areas of revenue management at the American Hotel and Motel Association’s National Meeting.

Shelby Tufenk – Controller

Shelby Tufenk brings to Golder Hospitality nearly 20 years of extensive hospitality industry experience. She has expertise in property and corporate level accounting in the preparation and review of financial statements, general ledger reconciliation, budgeting and analysis, payroll, audit, and all other aspects of accounting.

Elizabeth Hjort – Corporate Director of Human Resources

Elizabeth Hjort has more than 15 years of Human Resource Management experience in the hotel industry. Prior to joining Golder Hospitality, she spent several years with Marriott Corporate managed hotels. Elizabeth has oversight of all human resource activities of our most important asset, our team members. Her responsibilities include payroll and benefit administration for the corporate office and the hotel properties, team member relations, training and staff development and team member recruitment. In addition, she monitors and ensures compliance with all state and federal laws regarding employee related matters. Elizabeth graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Family Social Science.

Cathy Buchanan - Area Manager

Cathy has been a Hospitality Specialist since 1992, with an impressive record of accomplishments including a Renovation of the Year award and the prestigious Torchbearer Award both through IHG.  She has extensive experience with major brands including: Fairmont, Hilton, and IHG hotels.  Cathy received her B.S. degree in Hospitality Management from Johnson & Wales University where she also served as the student Assistant to the President.

Scott Ehrlichman - Area Manager

Scott started his hospitality career in 1997 and has vast experience with operations, sales, new construction and multi-property management.  He has an impressive array of brand experiences including IHG, Marriott, Hilton, AmericInn, WoodSpring, and Best Western.  

Megan Hook - Area Director of Sales & Marketing Sales

Megan brings over 8 years of sales and marketing experience with both full service and limited service hotels, including IHG, Marriott, Hilton, Choice and Wyndham hotel brands. With extensive experience in new business development, account management and strategic planning, Megan has a track record of increasing sales, enhancing business efficiencies, driving profits and building successful sales teams.

Shawn Hellkamp - Accounting Associate

Shawn has worked the past 5 years for the Golder Hospitality Accounting Department.  Performing such duties as; bank reconciliation, invoice processing/payment, Use Tax preparations, daily guest room/revenue reporting, maintaining Capital files and other aspects in support of the Controller.  Prior to her accounting position Shawn was the Administrative Assistant to the Sales Department as the Holiday Inn RiverCentre in downtown Saint Paul. 

Jennifer Moore- Administrative Assistant

Jennifer brings a wide variety of experience to Golder Hospitality in the areas of retail management, financial and education. Her diverse background and knowledge is an asset for the variety of projects and responsibilities she has keeping our office and team successfully moving forward. Jennifer received the Exceptional Achievement Award in customer service and leadership while working for Bank of America.  She thrives on the challenge of creating and implementing programs that fulfill our  organization and personal goals.
